Calling from England, Alabama State Representative Ernie Yarbrough joined ALCAP President Greg Davis on Priority Talk Radio to discuss his recent travels and an opportunity for concerned citizens to pray for Alabama. He was currently returning from his yearly journey across the Atlantic.
Before discussing more local issues, Ernie Yarbrough shared why he was in Europe. A history enthusiast, he makes an “annual pilgrimage over to Scotland” where he leads church and political history tours. Unknown to many Americans, many past events and figures in and from Scotland helped to form the foundation of our country.
After discussing certain details of the Scottish influence on America’s founding, they moved to covering Rep. Yarbrough’s recent prayer events and the next one they are planning. They’ve already been to the courthouses in Cullman County and Lawrence County. Their next event is at the courthouse in Morgan County––Decatur, more specifically––on August 17th at 9:00am.
Yarbrough explains the importance of these events and why prayer matters:
“We would be foolish not to recognize the fact that good policy and righteous laws are only going to have the ability to take root in the context of a people who want to go and seek the face of God,” he said.
