ALCAP Prayer Rally

On March 9th, a large group of legislators, pastors, and citizens came together for the ALCAP Prayer Rally at the Alabama State House steps. This was the second consecutive year that ALCAP had organized the rally. Prayers were focused on interceding for those who serve our state in government work.

ALCAP President and CEO Greg Davis started the gathering with a welcome and introductions, followed by Dr. Joe Godfrey (former ALCAP President) reading Scripture. Jacky Connell, pastor of Eden Westside Baptist Church, then prayed for the executive branch of the state government. This was followed by Jarman Leatherwood, pastor of The House of Hope and Restoration in Huntsville, who prayed for the legislative branch. Dr. Rick Lance, executive director of the Alabama State Board of Missions, closed the time of worship with a prayer for the judicial branch.

Greg Davis is on site every day during the legislative session ministering, monitoring and advocating on behalf of ALCAP churches. Pastors and concerned individuals are encouraged to reach out to their legislators about key moral issues.
