Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl visited with ALCAP President Greg Davis on Priority Talk Radio to discuss different ways for interested citizens to get involved in the 2024 General Election. Although both men acknowledged that President Trump was most likely going to win Alabama, John Wahl brought up the importance of a state next door: Georgia. Georgia is a swing state, and thus there are opportunities for concerned citizens to make a difference if they are willing to travel:
“We are close. We can do this. [Trump’s campaign] has two requests: One is for people next week to be willing to come over and door knock… and then on Election Day itself, if people are willing to go over there and be poll watchers. If you care about election integrity and you want to make sure votes are counted properly and that people are not bringing in boxes of ballots and stuffing them after the polls close, this is your chance to be involved in that process and be the boots on the ground that makes the difference for election integrity,” Wahl said.

Greg Davis then brought up the Title IX problems with the Biden Administration and the fact that it is a “winning issue” with voters, and the conversation turned towards politics in Alabama. Chairman Wahl mentioned Congressional Districts 2 and 7, and the fact that their races may be currently leaning towards the Democratic Party. There is still time, however, and Wahl mentioned a few ways people can make a difference here in Alabama:
“There’s really three things you can do to help a campaign, and I am going to start with the most important one… Pray for your candidates. It really does matter… Volunteer your time, if you are able to go down to CD 2 [and 7] and help door knock. You can sign up on our website as well (mentioned above)… And also, contribute [financially].”
